Former Rio de Janeiro mayor Eduardo Paes fulfilled a campaign agenda in Baixada Fluminense this Sunday alongside former Duque de Caxias mayor Washington Reis, from the MDB. The event was organized by city councilor Igor Menezes (PT-RJ), who is running for state deputy, and took place during a walk at the Areia Branca Fair in Belford Roxo.
Paes is part of a national alliance with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), and the event's electric trio displayed the phrase "Lula's team," showing images of the president, Menezes, Paes, and other participants.
Jane Reis, Washington Reis's sister and Paes's deputy mayor in Rio, also participated in the campaign event. According to the report, Jane has been asking for votes for Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), a political adversary of Lula in the presidential elections.
