The fourth edition of the Bairrada Eco Challenge took place on Saturday, September 12, between the municipalities of Águeda and Oliveira do Bairro, establishing itself as one of the largest sporting events in the region. This edition reached record numbers, with around 2,500 participants distributed across 235 teams.

Participants faced a course of approximately 13 kilometres, which included a diversity of obstacles, water crossings, mud and various physical challenges along the route.
