The North American insurance brokerage multinational Gallagher strengthened its executive team on the Iberian Peninsula with the hiring of Verónica Rodríguez Moroni, until now deputy director of financial lines and intellectual property at Aon. Rodríguez Moroni takes on the role of Director of Financial, Professional and Cyber Lines in the Iberian market, in a move that is part of the company's plan to accelerate its growth in Spain and Portugal.
The hire is integrated into a wave of recruitments led by Ana Matarranz, executive president of Gallagher for the region. Under her leadership, the broker has been attracting senior executives with experience from competitors in the market, namely from Howden and Willis Towers Watson.
Among the most recent incorporations are Ana de Gregorio Garnica, hired as Managing Director, María del Campo, as account executive, and Fran Murcia, who took on the role of revenue director. All these hires reinforce the company's intention to build a top team to capture a greater market share on the Iberian Peninsula.
With the arrival of Rodríguez Moroni, Gallagher aims to strengthen its offering in complex financial products and liability insurance for executives and directors. The accumulated experience of the former Aon executive is seen as a fundamental asset to enhance the group's competitiveness in a high-value-added segment that is in high demand among Spanish and Portuguese companies.
