Justice Flávio Dino, of the Supreme Court, decided to lift the secrecy of investigations into an alleged scheme to embezzle public funds destined for the film Dark Horse, which covers the trajectory of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The decision was made this Sunday.
Dino determined the unification of investigations involving parliamentary amendments and funds from the city of São Paulo. The inquiry points to Federal Deputy Mário Frias as the probable leader of the criminal organization suspected of running the embezzlement scheme.
In addition to the embezzlement, the investigation mentions the inquiry into possible connections of the group with the criminal faction Primeiro Comando da Capital, PCC. The justice determined that the Security Secretariat of São Paulo deliver all cell phones, computers, and documents seized in the state to the Federal Police.
Dino also authorized COAF to send the financial reports of the Instituto Conhecer Brasil and its director Karina Gama, producer of the film about Bolsonaro, to trace the path of the embezzled money.
