The Socialist Party today pointed to Fernando Alexandre as a candidate for the worst Education minister since April 25th. The criticism was made by the parliamentary leader of PS, Eurico Brilhante Dias, during a press conference at the party's national headquarters in Lisbon.
Eurico Brilhante Dias considered it scandalous that, in the 21st century and in 2026, public education leaves hundreds of students without access to compulsory education. The socialist stressed that public education is compulsory and that hundreds of people are outside the system.
The situation involves hundreds of students who were unable to find placement in public education, which prompted the strong criticism from PS against the current Education minister, Fernando Alexandre, and his management of the sector.
