The Government opened a five million euro support for winegrowers who were affected by bad weather during the period between January 28 and February 15, 2026. This support falls under an exceptional regime for applications to the VITIS support scheme, which is the Support Regime for Reconversion and Restructuring of Vineyards.
Winegrowers who suffered losses due to adverse weather conditions during that specific period may apply for these extraordinary supports. The financial allocation of five million euros is specifically intended to help in the recovery and restructuring of the affected wine-growing farms.
This exceptional regime comes as a support measure for the national wine sector, allowing affected producers to access financing to rebuild their vineyards damaged by the bad weather that occurred in early 2026.
