The Angolan Government admitted three proposals in the international tender for the concession of the right to operate, manage and maintain the Caio Deep Water Terminal, located in the province of Cabinda. The information was confirmed through an official communiqué from the Angolan Ministry.
The three competitors admitted to the process are Africa Global Logistics (AGL), which is linked to the MSC Group, SOGESTER and the MISG Consortium. These companies are now competing for the operation of the deep-water port terminal.
The Caio Deep Water Terminal represents a strategic infrastructure for Angola, especially for the province of Cabinda, which is separated from the Angolan continental territory by the Democratic Republic of Congo and has port connectivity as a crucial factor for its economic development.
The concession process is part of the Angolan Executive's strategy to modernize and boost the country's port infrastructure, attracting private investment with proven experience in international logistics and port operations.
