The Bulgarian arms company EMKO, which supplies weapons to Ukraine, suffered an explosion in the early hours of Saturday at one of its warehouses, classifying the incident as sabotage. EMKO issued a statement saying that "the destruction of arms depots in Bulgaria is becoming an everyday occurrence".
The company emphasized that none of the investigations into explosions and fires at defense industry facilities have been concluded since 2011, demonstrating a systematic failure by Bulgarian authorities to resolve these cases.
EMKO criticized the indifference of institutions to these recurring attacks on the country's defense industry facilities, suggesting that adequate measures are not being taken to protect these critical infrastructures.
