The secretary-general of Juntos pelo Povo (JPP), Élvio Sousa, announced a new political phase for the party, which intends to reinforce the presentation of proposals and intervention capacity. The announcement was made through a statement released today.
JPP does not intend to abandon oversight of the regional majority, but argues that being in opposition is not just about criticizing. According to Élvio Sousa, the party should present solutions and demonstrate "confidence in government, capacity and rigor."
Among the matters JPP intends to put up for discussion are measures in economic and social areas, although the statement does not specify what these proposals are in detail.
