PSD councilors at the Machico Municipal Council are calling for an urgent intervention in the Desembarcadouro area. The party considers it necessary to improve vehicle traffic, regulate parking, and enhance pedestrian circulation conditions in that area of the municipality.
The proposal presented by PSD was rejected by the Executive during the last Council meeting, according to information from the party. The social democrats were thus unable to secure the necessary support to move forward with the measures they were proposing.
The PSD initiative included the urgent carrying out of a comprehensive circulation and mobility study. This study was to cover Caminho da Quinta Palmeira and Caminho do Serrado do Gat, thus encompassing several areas of the municipality.
The party argues that these interventions are necessary to solve mobility problems in the Desembarcadouro area, but the proposal did not receive favorable reception from the majority executive at the municipal council.
