Around 20 thousand people gathered on Saturday in Bucharest, Romania, to participate in an initiative that consisted of forming a continuous table five kilometres in length. The event managed to beat a Guinness World Records record, establishing a new world record in this category.
The main objective of the action was to raise funds for the construction of a children's psychiatric hospital. The structure is expected to be completed in 2027, addressing a need for mental health care for children in the region.
The massive mobilization of participants demonstrates the support of the Romanian population for the children's health cause. The event combined the symbolic impact of a world record with a concrete charitable purpose, attracting thousands of people to the Romanian capital.
