The 19th edition of the Porto half marathon was dominated by Kenyan athletes. The competition, which took place in the Portuguese city, featured runners from various countries, but the Kenyan athletes stood out in both categories.
In the men's race, Owen Korir Kapkama achieved victory, demonstrating the strength traditionally associated with Kenyan runners in long-distance and middle-distance events.
In the women's race, Naomi Chepngeno was the big winner, completing the Kenyan double in the Porto competition.
With these results, Kenya confirmed its status as a world power in Athletics, particularly in long-distance events, by completely dominating this year's edition of the Porto half marathon.
