The airline Binter is carrying out trips to regularize the flights after the disruptions recorded at Porto Santo Airport. The ATR 72 that on the previous night had to stay overnight in Porto Santo due to the impossibility of landing in Madeira during the afternoon eventually managed to resume operations.
On Sunday morning, the aircraft took off from Porto Santo at 09:20 heading to the Madeiran airport, having already completed the return journey. The airplane will continue to operate flights between the two islands to normalize the situation of the affected flights.
The dawn at Porto Santo Airport was chaotic, with dozens of passengers forced to spend the night in the airport facilities after failures in the air connections.
