Fredrik Aursnes will continue to represent Norway's national team in upcoming international fixtures. Official confirmation of this availability was given by national team coach Stale Solbakken in statements to Norwegian newspaper 'Dagbladet', who revealed that the Benfica midfielder remains fully available to join upcoming call-ups for his country's team.
The player, captain of Benfica, recently returned to the Nordic national team's training after having been away from international representation since November 2023. Aursnes wore Norway's jersey again in the friendly match against Sweden on June 1st.
During the period when he was away from the national team, the midfielder chose to prioritize the balance between his football career and personal life. After this break, he ultimately participated in the World Cup, and has now confirmed his continuity with his country's representative team.
When directly questioned by 'Dagbladet' about Aursnes's continuity with the national team, Stale Solbakken was direct in his response, showing complete confidence in the player's availability for Norway's upcoming challenges.
