The PSP revealed in an interview that the biometric data collection, implemented one week ago for all passengers outside the Schengen area, is proceeding without constraints at most Portuguese airports.
However, Faro Airport registers the greatest pressure in this biometric data collection operation, distinguishing itself from other airport infrastructures in the country.
The PSP, responsible for airport enforcement, confirmed that the system is functioning adequately throughout the national territory, with the exception of this unit in the Algarve.
This data collection encompasses all travelers entering or departing Portugal with destinations or origins outside the Schengen area, representing a reinforcement of border controls recently implemented.
