Botafogo drew 1-1 with Bragantino this Saturday at Nilton Santos stadium, for the 28th round of the Brasileirão. With the result, the team reached six matches without a win in the championship, which worries the technical commission and the fans.
Coach Rodrigo Bellão gave a press conference after the match and stated that his team "sinned a lot" during the game. He blamed the team's anxiety in the second half as the main reason for not achieving victory.
Bellão explained that conceding a goal in the first half destabilized the collective, and that the red card at the end of the first half also conditioned the team's performance. At halftime, the technical commission managed to identify advantages and the team returned better in the second half, creating opportunities and scoring a goal.
After the goal, according to the coach, anxiety made the team make passing errors and suffer from defensive transitions. Bellão criticized the team's posture and stated that it is necessary to adjust the attitude to understand what needs to be done throughout the entire match, not just in specific moments.
