After a decade without performing in Brazil, Mumford & Sons return to the country as headliners of the Sunset Stage at Rock in Rio 2026, this Saturday (12). The last time the British group performed in Brazil was at Lollapalooza 2016, in São Paulo.
Before the show, Marcus Mumford and Ben Lovett gave an interview to GLOBO. In the conversation, the musicians said it is "really a desire" of the band to make performances in Brazil more frequent. The band, which also includes Ted Dwane, tends to think about Brazilian fans when planning a tour.
According to Mumford, returning to Brazil is something the band discusses every time they schedule a tour. He revealed that he asks the team how they can return to the country, and that it is difficult to make happen, but that it is "simply a relief to be back." Mumford added that the show held in São Paulo ten years ago is probably one of their favorites they have ever done.
