Colombian J Balvin took the Rock in Rio Palco Mundo stage at 7 PM on Saturday (12) to test whether reggaeton has the same strength in Brazil as it does in neighboring countries. Definitely, it doesn't. The audience wasn't really into it during the artist's performance.
José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, who has already sold over 35 million records, tried hard throughout the show. He sings well, has stage presence, performs good choreography with his team of dancers, and most importantly, has hits. However, the temperature really only rose when he brought his version of "Bum bum tam tam" by MC Fioti.
After some of his hits like "Mi gente," "Bola rebola" (partnership with Anitta), and "Travessuras," the Colombian wore a jacket in Brazil's colors and appeared on the big screen like a great master of ceremonies, alternating Spanish with few words in Portuguese, such as "Make some noise!" he asked the audience.
