The organization of the immigrants' march in Lisbon regretted today the absence of politicians at the event, despite the calls it had made for their presence and the confirmed support from the municipality. The march, part of the Festival Todos, thus remained once again without political representatives.
People from various cultures took to the streets of Lisbon in a march that the organization described as a moment of celebration. The event is part of the Festival Todos - Walk of Cultures, which has been held for 18 years in the Portuguese capital.
The festival is promoted by the Academy of Cultural Producers in partnership with the Lisbon City Council. The activities took place since Thursday and included various cultural and gastronomic initiatives, with today's march constituting the highlight of the event.
