Bruno Melim, leader of JSD Madeira, praised Calheta's development during the inauguration of Afonso Marciel as the new president of JSD Calheta, which took place yesterday. In his speech, Melim highlighted the social-democratic management of the municipality as responsible for the progress observed in the territory.
During the ceremony, which also featured the presence of Carlos Teles, president of the PSD municipal committee, Bruno Melim accused JPP of maintaining a "double discourse" regarding investments in the municipality. This accusation comes in the context of political divergences between the two parties.
The leader of JSD Madeira specifically referred to the golf course project at Ponta do Pargo as one of the points of discord. Melim criticized JPP's position regarding this infrastructure, suggesting that the party presents different positions depending on the audience.
