Criactividade proposes more than a month of alternative events to praxe in Coimbra

Campeão das Províncias12 September 2026 at 19:12

Criactividade, an integration project run by a collective of students from the city of Coimbra, has once again proposed five weeks of activities alternative to praxe, an initiative that runs until October 8. This is the 13th edition of the project, which started on Monday with a community dinner and a guided tour of the city.

The program includes various almost daily activities, such as gatherings, conversations, album listening sessions, theater and cooking workshops, fairs and other events. The activities take place in different spaces throughout the city, mainly in student repúblicas, also integrating events from other cultural and sports structures of the municipality. The program ends on October 8 with a ball at the Rápo-Táxo república and also includes an "Anti-Latada Transfeminista" at Largo de São Salvador, on September 29.

According to Violeta Campos, from the organization, the initiative is carried out by a self-managed collective of students, 100% self-funded, with all activities being free. The member of Criactividade highlighted that the project is built in a community and joint manner, in a horizontal space as a counterpoint to the hierarchical dynamics of praxe.

Violeta Campos lamented that it is increasingly difficult to engage students in movements and collectives, a phenomenon she considers transversal to other entities that exist around academia. According to the organizer, in a sociocultural context of greater individualism, although projects like this are increasingly necessary, praxe has been gaining a lot of strength.

Why this matters

University students in Coimbra now have a free and horizontal alternative to traditional praxe, with activities ranging from cultural workshops to social events. The organization warns that participation in collective projects has been decreasing, which may reflect a broader trend of isolation among young people. The project ends with a ball at the Rápo-Táxo república and includes an "Anti-Latada Transfeminista" in September.

Critique: Between the diva and the divan, Demi Lovato makes fans happy

Demi Lovato performed at Rock in Rio as one of the main acts on the Mundo stage, promoting her new double album "It's not that deep," which marks a transition from the furious rock of her previous work to dance pop. The critique highlights that the artist took the stage with a pop diva posture, accompanied by dancers, sensualizing to songs like "Fast" and "Kiss," and managed to mobilize her fandom, who followed along with phones in hand. The presentation alternated between more energetic moments and confessional numbers, such as "Heart attack," a style for which Lovato is known.
