Criactividade, an integration project run by a collective of students from the city of Coimbra, has once again proposed five weeks of activities alternative to praxe, an initiative that runs until October 8. This is the 13th edition of the project, which started on Monday with a community dinner and a guided tour of the city.
The program includes various almost daily activities, such as gatherings, conversations, album listening sessions, theater and cooking workshops, fairs and other events. The activities take place in different spaces throughout the city, mainly in student repúblicas, also integrating events from other cultural and sports structures of the municipality. The program ends on October 8 with a ball at the Rápo-Táxo república and also includes an "Anti-Latada Transfeminista" at Largo de São Salvador, on September 29.
According to Violeta Campos, from the organization, the initiative is carried out by a self-managed collective of students, 100% self-funded, with all activities being free. The member of Criactividade highlighted that the project is built in a community and joint manner, in a horizontal space as a counterpoint to the hierarchical dynamics of praxe.
Violeta Campos lamented that it is increasingly difficult to engage students in movements and collectives, a phenomenon she considers transversal to other entities that exist around academia. According to the organizer, in a sociocultural context of greater individualism, although projects like this are increasingly necessary, praxe has been gaining a lot of strength.
