Patrícia Salgueiro, athlete from the Taekwondo Section of the 20 Kms de Almeirim Association, became European university champion in the under-46 kilogram category. The competition took place in Tirana, Albania, at the European University Combat Sports Championship.
The athlete represented the Polytechnic University of Santarém during the competition. Patrícia Salgueiro won all three of her bouts throughout the tournament, securing the title of European university champion.
This result represents a significant achievement for the athlete from Almeirim and for the Taekwondo Section of the 20 Kms de Almeirim Association, which saw one of its representatives reach the top of the podium at a European university competition.
