In the last 24 hours, three migrants were detained in Ceuta, two civil guards were assaulted and one soldier was injured. Ceuta is a Spanish city located in North Africa, frequently the scene of attempts at irregular entry by migrants.
The facts involve members of the Spanish security forces who work at the border and in the migratory control of the city. The civil guards and the soldier were part of the security operations in the area.
The Unified Association of the Civil Guard issued a statement lamenting the way some offices describe the situation in Ceuta. According to the association, these offices insist on characterizing what happens as a matter of perception, sensation and subjective insecurity.
The military association also expressed its displeasure at what it considers to be a downplaying of the reality experienced by security agents in the field, suggesting that the situation is more serious and concrete than some officials publicly acknowledge.
