More than 110 operatives are combatting a wildfire that broke out in the locality of Relvinha, in the municipality of Arganil. The flames have also required the reinforcement of two aerial resources to support the ground operations.
The firefighting operation has aerial support to try to control the spread of the fire, which is affecting the rural area of the region.
Local authorities are mobilized to respond to the emergency, with operatives distributed across the terrain for direct combat against the fire.
The fire in Relvinha represents another outbreak of fire during the highest risk season for wildfires in Portugal, requiring a coordinated response between the available ground and aerial resources.
