The Fortress of Sagres hosts on September 20, at 20:00, the free cineconcert "Almadrava", dedicated to tuna fishing in the Algarve. The single outdoor session is organized by Cinemalua – Associação Cultural, with support from CCDR Algarve and cultural patronage from Real Atunara and Martinhal Sagres Algarve.

The event presents two documentaries from the RTP Archive, "A Almadrava" and "O Copejo", made in 1968 and 1969 by Hélder Mendes, which portray the tradition of tuna fishing seine nets (armação) in the region. To these archival images are added unseen footage by director João Marco, who also signs the editing, the final text and the event poster.

The cineconcert, presented under the expression "Tuna, the eternal traveler of the oceans", combines the cinematographic records with four original compositions written by composer Arsénio Martins specifically for the new footage: "Almadrava", "The Labyrinth of Waters", "The Fluctuation of Anchors" and "The Balance of Species".

The live accompaniment will be performed by five musicians from the Arsénio Martins Ensemble: Arsénio Martins on piano, Paulo Lopes on saxophones and flute, Daniela Pinhel on oboe, Daniela Vieira on bassoon and Bárbara Santos on cello.
