The last race of the season in Nazaré took place on Saturday night, as part of the program of the Festivities in honor of Our Lady of Nazaré. The event provided a memorable night in an excellent atmosphere, according to the organizers.
The race was part of a tradition that began on the steps of the Sanctuary with the Candle Procession, which traveled through the streets of Sítio. All the Festival figures were present at this procession, demonstrating the cultural and religious importance of the event for the community.
After the procession, the night continued with participants taking a tour of the square, followed by a Fado performance. The title of the piece, "See You Next Year...", indicates that this is a traditional event that repeats annually.
