The National Republican Guard (GNR) detained 567 people caught in the act during the week of September 4 to 10, across the entire national territory. The security force released this weekly operational report today, which covered various criminal enforcement and prevention actions.
During the same period, the GNR recorded 7,975 traffic violations across the country. These violations include various breaches of road traffic rules, from speeding to other driving-related offenses.
Driving under the influence of alcohol was identified as the main cause of detention, resulting in 225 arrests. This data highlights the significant weight of this offense among the reasons that led to the detention of suspects caught in the act during the week in question.
