Tondela achieved today their second consecutive victory in the football Liga 2, by defeating Portimonense 2-0 at the Municipal Stadium of Portimão, in a match of the sixth round of the competition.
The team led by Ricardo Costa dominated the match and opened the scoring at 30 minutes, through Dutch forward Arjen van der Heide. The player received the ball inside the opposition area and finished successfully to put Tondela ahead.
The second goal of the visiting team was also scored in the second half, allowing Tondela to consolidate the victory and add three important points in the Liga 2 standings.
With this result, Tondela continues in good form in the competition, adding two consecutive victories that demonstrate the consistency of Ricardo Costa's team in this early phase of the season.
