A protest took place in Espinho against fuel prices and the cost of living. Participants protested against the escalating prices that have been affecting Portuguese families.
The protest spokesperson, Ricardo Pinto, addressed the prime minister, Luís Montenegro, directly, demanding that he "listen to the Portuguese" and find a response to the rise in fuel prices.
Ricardo Pinto considered that the government has already had enough time to act and criticized the authorities' inaction regarding the situation. The protest reflects the discontent of many citizens with the current economic pressure.
