The first School Health and Pediatrics Days of Paços de Ferreira took place on September 7th and 8th, with the motto "It takes a community to grow". The event was promoted by the Community Care Unit of Paços de Ferreira, with the support of the local Municipality.
The jornadas brought together professionals from different areas to discuss the coordination between Health, School, Family and Community, placing the health and well-being of children and young people at the center of the discussion.
Over the two days, topics such as conscious parenting, adolescence, child development, the importance of play, consumption in school context, the use of technology in education, multiculturality and special health needs were addressed.
The program also included workshops dedicated to situations with impact on daily school life, such as epilepsy, type 1 diabetes and food allergy, in addition to sessions on neurodevelopment, autism and ADHD in an educational context.
