The Public Ministry of Santa Catarina requested the conviction of the former general delegate of the Civil Police Ulisses Gabriel, currently a candidate for state deputy for the Liberal Party (PL), for alleged use of the "Dog Ear" case investigation for personal promotion. The agency filed an administrative improbity action against him, which was submitted in April and made public recently.
According to the MP, Ulisses Gabriel allegedly exceeded the duty of institutional communication and used the authority and visibility of the general delegate position for personal purposes. The action seeks compensation of R$ 200 thousand for collective moral damages and a fine of up to 24 times his salary, which could reach approximately R$ 795 thousand, the value assigned to the case.
Furthermore, the Public Ministry requested that he be prohibited from contracting with the public administration for a period of four years. The case involves the investigation known as "Dog Ear," which dealt with a police operation in Santa Catarina.
