Vila Viçosa dressed up for celebration again this Saturday, with hundreds of people flooding the streets of the town for the 2026 edition of the traditional Capuchos Festivities, one of the most emblematic and cherished pilgrimages in the Alentejo. Throughout this weekend, the Alentejo town transforms into a true meeting point, welcoming visitors and families who come to celebrate a tradition that spans generations.
The first bull run of this year's edition took place on Saturday morning, at Praça da República and Avenida Bento de Jesus Caraça. The event once again demonstrated the enormous capacity of the Capuchos Festivities to mobilize the local population and visitors, with an atmosphere of celebration, enthusiasm and adrenaline.
