The suspect, identified as a farmhand, was arrested by the Judicial Police on suspicion of having assassinated a couple. The deaths are believed to have occurred in the home of the two victims, on the property where the suspect worked.
After committing the homicides, the farmhand is believed to have dragged the corpses inside a water cistern located on the property. He then attempted to accelerate the decomposition of the bodies through the use of chemicals.
Authorities are investigating the complete circumstances of the crime, which involved these attempts to conceal the bodies. The suspect remains in custody while police investigations continue.
