A vehicle caught fire in the parking lot of the Continente Shopping Center, located in Loures. The incident caused a large column of smoke that became visible from a distance.
Firefighters were called to the scene and managed to control and extinguish the fire. The relevant authorities also went to the shopping center to ensure the safety of the area.
Two people were assessed by the authorities due to symptoms of anxiety and smoke inhalation. No serious injuries were reported from the incident.
The parking lot was temporarily closed after the occurrence, while cleaning and ventilation operations of the space were underway.
