The stepfather began spending time with the victim and her siblings when he started a romantic relationship with the children's mother seven years ago. Since then, he had been living with the family in the same house.
The mother of the children eventually filed the report against her partner, which led to the investigation and subsequent arrest of the suspect by the Judicial Police. The man was placed in preventive detention after appearing in court.
