APG/GNR, the professional association of National Republican Guard military personnel, announced demonstrations across the country until mid-October. The protests arise due to non-compliance with the salary and career review that had been promised by the Government.
APG/GNR joined ASPP/PSP, the representative structure of Public Security Police professionals, in the scheduled protests. In this way, the two security forces unite in a common labor claim.
The Guard's soldiers accuse the Minister of Internal Administration of lacking political weight. According to APG/GNR, this political weakness of the official has contributed to the promises of salary and career review not being fulfilled by the executive.
