The Republican National Guard (GNR) announced it will join the Public Security Police (PSP) in a cycle of protests that will begin at the end of September. The decision represents a union between the two security forces of the country.
The protests are scheduled to culminate with a large national demonstration planned for October. This joint mobilization marks a moment of rare convergence between the two police forces.
The representative associations of both security forces guarantee there is strong discontent among professionals. However, the same associations ensure they remain available to negotiate with the Government.
