Protests are scheduled for this Saturday in three Portuguese cities – Lisbon, Porto, and Faro – against children's suffering from abuse. The protests are part of a global initiative called "Break the Silence."
The organization of the protests in Portugal is being carried out by the Women's Movement – Mover for Rights, which responded to an international call launched by the "Handmaid's Tale" movement in Ireland.
The Portuguese movement thus aims to join the global protest against child abuse, seeking to raise visibility for this cause and push for changes in the protection of young people.
