The Paris Court sentenced Ilyas Kherbouch to nine years in prison for the violent robbery at the home of Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain, and his partner. Kherbouch, who was already in preventive detention, will continue to be held in custody.
The robbery occurred in 2023, when Donnarumma and his partner were approached at their residence. During the incident, both were assaulted by the robbers, in an episode classified as violent.
Kherbouch was identified as the leader of the group responsible for the crime. French authorities investigated the case, resulting in his conviction by the Parisian court.
The Italian goalkeeper, who transferred to PSG in 2021 from AC Milan, is one of the most well-known figures in European football. This case generated great media attention in France.
