Estreito de Câmara de Lobos celebrates, this Saturday, the Madeiran wine-growing tradition with another edition of the Harvest Festival. The event features a program that includes various activities related to the harvest and the wine culture of the region.
The central moment of the program is the ethnographic procession, which will take place at 11 am and will run through the streets of the parish. The president of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, will attend the event.
The procession will feature dozens of performers dressed in the traditional costumes associated with the harvests. The participants will recreate the customs and experiences of times past, keeping alive the memory of the winemaking practices that were part of the history of Câmara de Lobos.
