The documentary "Biggs by Biggs", from Universal+, will tell the story of Mike Biggs, former member of the children's musical group Balão Mágico, as the son of Ronald Biggs, one of the most famous thieves in the world. Ronald Biggs was among those responsible for the 1963 Great Train Robbery, one of the most famous heists in British history.
The film, directed by Guto Barra and Tatiana Issa, will be released in November and examines the lives of the father and son over the last 50 years, highlighting the effects that the famous robbery still has on the family today. Filming took place in London, Rio de Janeiro, and Maranhão.
It is a co-production between NBCUniversal and Producing Partners. On the early morning of August 8, 1963, the postal train traveling from Glasgow to London was forced to stop at a red signal in Cheddington, an hour from the British capital.
