Patrícia França will return to Globo after more than ten years away from the network. In 2015, the last time she appeared on Globo was playing teacher Delma in "Malhação". Now, she will be in the novel "Paraíso perdido", on Globoplay, written by George Moura and Sergio Goldenberg, with artistic direction by Joana Jabace. Patrícia's character will be named Vanda, and filming will begin this month.
The plot of "Paraíso perdido" will be based on four plays by Nelson Rodrigues: "Bonitinha, mas ordinária", "A mulher sem pecado", "Toda nudez será castigada" and "Os sete gatinhos". The novel will have 40 episodes and will be set in present-day Rio de Janeiro.
Alanis Guillen will play Maria Cecília, daughter of Werneck and Lígia, played by Maeve Jinkings, and sister of Heitor, played by Juliano Floss. Maria Cecília will become romantically involved with her own brother-in-law, Peixoto, and also with Edgar, although he is in love with Ritinha, played by Larissa Bocchino. These characters were taken from the play "Bonitinha, mas ordinária".
