Sunderland won't let go of Geny Catamo and promises to come back with another bid

Sunderland remains interested in Geny Catamo and promises to come back for the Mozambican winger from Sporting. The English club had already made a first approach for the player during the previous transfer window.

An emissary from the English club was present at Alvalade to monitor the performance of Sporting's number 10. The match was closely followed, ending in a victory over Galatasaray.

Catamo was one of the standout performers of the game, scoring a goal in the victory against the Turkish club. This performance reinforced Sunderland's interest in the 23-year-old player.

The lions, however, have no intention of making the winger's departure easy and demand a high fee to let go of the player. Sunderland is expected to return with a new proposal in the next transfer window.

The Moroccan defender, loaned by Al Qadsiah until the end of the season, will have a purchase option of around 10 million euros, with both clubs sharing the player's salary during the loan period.
