On Saturday, September 13, Brazil celebrated National Cachaça Day, a date that celebrates the national beverage with plenty of reasons to party. According to a survey by CREST, from Circana, compiled by the Brazilian Foodservice Institute (IFB), cachaça generated approximately R$ 2.3 billion in Brazilian foodservice in the 12 months ending in June, representing a 22% increase compared to the previous period.
To mark the occasion, Jurema Bar held on September 12, the day before the date, the first edition of the Rua da Cachaça event. The gathering was dedicated to the celebration and appreciation of the Brazilian distilled spirit, with a program that started at 12 PM and included a discussion panel, tastings, gastronomy, a workshop, music and experiences.
One of the highlights of the program was the launch of Cachaça do Jurema, a beverage developed in a special edition in partnership with Lena, a cachaça producer and partner of the bar. For the debut of the event, a special, exclusive and numbered batch was presented, created especially for the occasion.
