About 907 kilos of methamphetamine were seized hidden in a cabbage cargo in McAllen, Texas, in the United States. The operation was announced by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and is part of a Homeland Security task force investigation.
The seizure involved several American security agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the FBI, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) and other authorities.
Images released by the DEA show agents removing the outer leaves of the cabbages and finding carefully wrapped packages with the drug. The narcotics were placed in boxes labeled "DEA Evidence".
