Last Friday (11th), Rock in Rio's production asked the audience at the City of Rock to take a step back to ease the crowding at the Palco Mundo barrier. The request was made twice starting at 6:30 PM. The situation mainly involves k-pop fans, who were trying to get to the front of the stage to watch the idol performance, scheduled to begin at midnight.
Lauren, 18 years old, was one of the fans who arrived at the queue in the early morning to secure a spot near the barrier. She got the desired space, but ended up deciding to leave because of the large number of people. The young woman reports that people who had stayed further back were pushing everyone forward, making it impossible to stay at the front.
According to Lauren, one of the most important tips for enjoying the event safely is to have respect for other fans who are also admirers. She reinforces that the audience is not joking around when it comes to getting to the front of the stage, and that the lack of consideration among the fans themselves was what compromised the experience of those at the barrier.
