A man was arrested in the act on Wednesday (9) after stabbing an elderly employee during a commotion at a hotel on Visconde do Uruguai Street, in Downtown Niterói. The suspect was located after civil police officers from the 76th Police Station (Niterói) analyzed images from the establishment's security cameras and conducted investigations to identify him.
The incident occurred in the early morning of Wednesday (8). According to the Military Police, teams from the 12th Battalion (Niterói) were dispatched after a report of an assault inside the hotel. At the scene, officers found the establishment's doorman injured by stab wounds.
The employee was rescued by the Fire Department and taken in serious condition to the Alberto Torres State Hospital, in Colubandê.
