Fans of the South Korean group Stray Kids, known as "stays," waited approximately 10 hours at the front of the Rock in Rio stage to secure the best spots for Friday's show (11). In just 20 minutes after the gates of Rock in Rio City opened, the front area was already completely full.
The group's admirers trained for months to be able to run to the front row on the day of the event. A fan named Mariana, 36 years old and a banker by profession, explained that friends prepared physically for the run, considering footwear and the terrain of the location. She revealed that a friend from the group managed to arrive first and is holding spots for the others.
The main challenge for fans in line was the absence of nearby bathrooms at the front row. According to Mariana, they are taking turns to go to the bathroom, since later it will no longer be possible to leave the location. She stated that everything is done "out of love" for the group and that those who don't feel it, don't understand.
Stray Kids asked the event organizers to set up an exclusive runway with stairs so the members could walk down toward the audience during the performance. This special structure was installed on the stage for Friday night's show.
