dnoticias.pt11 September 2026 at 20:24

Iran confirmed today that it will hold talks on Monday with Gulf countries in Oman on the Strait of Hormuz, which has been blocked for more than six months by Iranian forces. The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry said this meeting should promote better understanding among regional countries and contribute to strengthening common regional security. Representatives from Iraq and other Gulf coastal states will participate in the talks. The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world's oil traffic passes, has been a source of tension in the region.
