The Direção-Geral das Artes (DGArtes) announced this Friday the results of the competition for Creation in Street Arts, Circus, Dance and Theatre of the 2025 Project Support Program. A total of 84 grants were awarded, in a competition that revealed high demand given the available funds. Of the 275 applications submitted, only a small fraction was selected for funding.

Madeira managed to secure one of these grants through the project "Refrão Protagonista", submitted by the entity LUZIA. The project was selected in the Theatre area and will receive 35 thousand euros in funding for its creation.

This support represents significant recognition for the region's artistic scene, allowing the Madeiran project to develop with financial resources that enhance its realization in the field of performing arts.
